"Great American Yogurt. Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach. My daughter and her fiends have been going there for a while, but I've been sticking with Golden Spoon. Today I went GAY. What a great idea! First, it's way more efficient than GS. The walls are lined with frozen yogurt dispensers in the various flavors--as many as, if not more than, GS. You grab the size bowl you need and serve yourself. This eliminates standing in line while peeps ahead of you are going, duh, I don't know what I want. Then you pile on your own toppings: various chips, granola, sprinkles, fruit, whatever. You take your concoction up to the cashier, get it weighed, pay and yer outta there. It seemed cheaper than GS. Two small vanillas with choccy chips came out to five bucks.
And the verdict: EXCELLENT! Creamy, flavorful yogurt that absolutely does not taste non-fat, which it is. Ten calories per ounce (not counting toppings). I Googled GAY and it's only in Huntington Beach. Sorry! Maybe they'll start franchising it."
